چکیده
Chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods are alternatives to increase production in mature reservoirs. However, the presence of EOR chemicals produced water may impact separation gas-water systems platforms. The present work aims evaluate polymers, surfactants, inorganic salts, and their interactions on gas holdup a 32.1-cm-diameter semi-batch bubble column over range superficial velocities ranging from 0 19 cm/s. It has been confirmed through physical-chemical analysis that synthetic containing polymers organic surfactants is non-Newtonian with low surface tension. Results have shown both salt regardless velocity, while effect depends velocity. This also innovates by showing how between salinity affect transition velocity different flow regimes. Overall results shed some light chemical composition effluents regime as function wide therefore contributes development gas-liquid systems.

Gas holdup in a gas-liquid-fiber semi-batch bubble column
A 4-m high, 15.24-cm diameter semi-batch bubble column connected to one of three perforated plate gas distributors with open area ratios A = 0.57%, 0.99%, and 2.14% is employed to study gas holdup and flow regime in Rayon and Nylon fiber suspensions. This study determines the effect of superficial gas velocity, fiber type, fiber mass fraction, fiber length, and aeration plate open area ratio on...

CFD Hydrodynamics Analysis of Syngas Flow in Slurry Bubble Column
In this paper, a CFD model of syngas flow in slurry bubble column was developed. The model is based on an Eulerian-Eulerian approach and includes three phases: slurry of solid particles suspended in paraffin oil and syngas bubbles. Numerical calculations carried out for catalyst particles, bubble coalescence and breakup included bubble-fluid drag force and interfacial area effects. Also, the ef...

A three-dimensional (3D) Euler-Euler gas-liquid two-phase mathematical model was developed for simulating the local transient fluid flow in a gas-induced pulsating flow bubble column using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) method, with multiple size group (MUSIG) model implemented to predict the bubble size distribution. Model simulated results such as local transient axial liquid velocities an...
متن کاملA method for bubble volume measurement under constant flow conditions in gas–liquid two-phase flow
Measuring the volume of a bubble, especially at its detachment, is a basic subject in gas-liquid two-phase flow research. A new indirect method for this measurement under constant flow conditions is presented. An electronic device is designed and constructed based on laser beam intensity. This device calculates the frequency of the bubble formation by measuring the total time of the formation p...
